About Me

Hi, I’m Avery, a game programmer with a focus on AI and gameplay systems. I graduated from Champlain College with a BS in Game Programming and am working as an Gameplay Engineer at Survios, Inc.

I have 8+ years of experience working with artists, designers and producers to take games from concept phase to finalized and polished experiences. Over the past seven years, I have gained experience with Unity 3D and its C# scripting language, Unreal Engine and its impressive Blueprints, C++, Gameplay Abilities and AI systems, written many C++ projects from scratch such as assembling a custom game engine, networking using RakNet, as well as dabbling in many other languages along the way such as Python, Java, Kotlin and OpenGL/GLSL.

In my free time, I enjoy photography, sound design, hiking, biking, and most recently traveling. I am also a big contributor to open source databases such as OpenStreetMap and MusicBrainz.
